Planning Halloween with the kids? Check SM’s October 31 sessions and Robinsons’ receipt, age and wristband rules before buying costumes or travelling.

Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026. For a mall outing with the kids, SM has announced October 31 trick-or-treat sessions, while Robinsons publishes a receipt-and-registration process for its Chills and Thrills campaign. The joining rules are different: confirm your chosen branch before spending on costumes or a special trip.

SM: October 31 sessions, within a two-day celebration

BusinessMirror’s October 2 BMPlus feature says SM’s Spooktacular Halloween runs on October 30–31. It lists trick-or-treat sessions on October 31 at 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM, alongside a costume contest and a Halloween fair. These are Philippine local times.

The report directs families to their nearest SM for activity details. It does not establish a complete branch list, a universal registration process or an admission price. Treat the sessions as the announced campaign schedule, then verify whether your mall is taking part. Do not assume October 30 has the same trick-or-treat sessions.

Robinsons: a receipt, registration and an event wristband

Robinsons’ official 2026 campaign page says a single-receipt purchase from a participating store is needed to register a child aged 3–12 for one event wristband. Its instructions are to choose the mall using the registration link on that official page, complete the form and save the confirmation code, then collect the wristband at the event booth.

The text does not give one national minimum spend or a uniform date and time. The page includes regional schedule graphics, so check the graphic and registration details for your selected mall. We have not verified every branch’s schedule or whether places remain. A purchase alone is not the complete entry process.

Use the link from Robinsons’ own campaign page rather than a copied form from an unrelated post. A parent or guardian should review the requested information before submitting a child’s details.

Which plan is easier for your family?

  • Starting with a date: SM’s announced October 31 afternoon sessions give you a starting point, subject to branch confirmation.
  • Already shopping at Robinsons: check the participating-store and receipt rules before paying, so a necessary purchase can potentially serve both purposes.
  • Bringing siblings: ask how many receipts or registrations are needed. Do not infer that one wristband covers the whole family.
  • Travelling from another city: obtain the branch’s exact event location, check-in time and availability before arranging transport.

A small budget check before costume shopping

Separate the outing into transport, any qualifying purchase, food and costume costs. Candy is not a saving if it requires an otherwise unnecessary shopping basket. Reusing a costume or simple accessories leaves more flexibility for a meal or the journey home.

For example, if an extra shopping trip would cost your family ₱300 in transport, that is a hypothetical ₱300 outing cost even before buying anything. Compare that with joining a closer confirmed event. This example is not an admission fee or fare quote.

If several households are going together, use our shared-outing budget guide to agree on transport and food contributions before the day.

Checked October 27, 2026. This is a sourced seasonal-events update, not an attendance review. SM information is attributed to the dated BMPlus feature; Robinsons joining rules come from its official campaign. We have not registered, checked remaining slots or confirmed a nationwide free-entry offer.
